Christmas comes but once a year...

and don't we need it more this year than ever before! To have all the family under one roof - the joy brought by gifts (required or otherwise!) - granny overdoing it on the sherry, and it's still not yet 11.00am. Christmas carols and ancient traditions (most invented by the Victorians) We all have our family rituals that are sacrosanct and if auntie Ethel has to make you that hideous pullover every year, and you have to pretend you like it - then so be it! We all over indulge and invariably regret it by the time Morecambe and Wise or The Great Escape has finished on TV - but on the twelfth day it all gets packed away, then all is repeated, to the letter, the following year.
