One imagines 15 hulks (very large hairy men who drink gallons of beer) bearing down on one another waste deep in mud with fists flying and the occasional injury to add to the general interest. This may have been the case prior to advent of the professional game but now every player has to be at the peak of fitness and the speed at which things happens boggles the mind - throw in some indecipherable rules and you have a great game that nobody in all honesty totally understands!
