Heading for the Slopes

Skiing - the thrills, and dare one say, the spills inevitably involved when you throw yourself down a steep snow bound slope while strapped to two planks of wood. The challenge is to be able to keep upright, at  an  exhilarating speed after ten days of remorseless effort. If not successful ,worry not - you can come back next year and try again. After many years a passable standard can be achieved until overtaken at speed by a three year old on his, or of course her first ever run down a ski slope! Time to massage your wounded pride with a gluhwein!
